Moar fanarts, I say! Moar!

Just a colored pencil sketch of my all-time FAVORITE scene from Fandomme's future-fic, Ozai's Vengeance.

GO READ: [link]

Here's the excerpt that spawned this doodle (BUT! I highly recommend that you read the story in it's entirety before reading this... it gives away the best part):

Zuko looked at his hands. There were ink-smudges on his thumbs and forefingers. Katara covered one of his hands with one of her own. "Why, Zuko? Why did you lie?"

He looked up over her shoulder, avoided her gaze. "Some of us don't seek adulation."

She grabbed his chin with her hand. Her fingers were surprisingly strong, and her eyes hard. "Try again."

He didn't answer. Instead, he took her hand away from his chin and moved it to the scarred side of his face. He pressed her hand there and leaned into the touch until his lips just barely grazed her wrist. He could almost feel her pulse there and wondered if she saw his beating just under the skin of his temple or his neck. Now you know. This is the last secret.

YES!!!! I love that scene! And it was among the many I want to illustrate from that fic.
I really love your interpretation. They're in their dark tent lit by torches ... it's so intimate.
Just as the scene was.
Also. Nice abs on ZUKO. :D
Great job.
wow you are an exceptional pencil artist you also manage to capture the likeness quite well

I woke up in a car, I traced away the fog so I could see the Mississippi on her knees, I've never been so lost, I've never felt so much at home.
Thank you! I'm still a n00b at PhotoShop, and it was killing me to try to figure out how to make the lamplight look soft. All in all, considering I just sort of threw it together, I really like the end result :)

Also, Zuko is a hunk. The end.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Thanks! I'm quite proud of my lineart, buuut black and white sketches are so boring! Hopefully I can find time to clean up my photoshop skillz over the summer.

Thank you for your compliments!

It made my heart ache. Fandomme always does that to me.

Honestly, despite all the hype Stormbenders has gotten recently, I really like the way Ozai's Vengeance played out-- it was intimate and honest and altogether a way to tie up loose ends. SB is ultimately more detailed and well-researched, but OV will always hold some wierd superiority over it (at least to me).

I actually Agreee. To be honest I was a bit skeptical of stormbenders at first. I mean, I love it, but I agree that Ozai's Vengeance was fucking epic.
